The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster - in action!Guy McKnight: "I'd like to think that as a band with parents of six different nationalities between us (English, Scottish, Indian, Sri Lankan, Persian and Greek) that we represent how there should be no barriers within today's society. It's up to us all to destroy the ignorance that fuels racist attitudes in this country by blowing the Astoria's doors off their hinges with the Love Music Hate Racism gig."

Brighton-based noiseniks EMBLD (as their fans call them) came to prominence in 2002 with their short sharp shock of a first album "Horse of the Dog". Clocking in at just over 25 minutes, the album showed that their brand of blues punk-rock didn't mess about.

Recent single Mister Mental has also been making waves amongst the rock fraternity; a live version of "Morning Has Broken" a particular fans' fave.

The band were also instrumental in the recent Love Music Hate Racism gig at the Astoria with the Buzzcocks.
