Miss Black America
"It’s not hysterical to compare what the BNP is doing now with what Hitler did to start with. People laughed at Hitler’s Nazis at first, but we know what happened in the end. We have to stop the Nazis now! This is a great opportunity to bring people together – that’s what music can do."
Bury St Edmonds' finest Miss Black America released their debut album "God Bless..." to deserved praise earlier this year. Their brand of fiery punk noise mixed with honest and direct lyrics set the rock music press alight.
Says lead signer Seymour: "We are the antidote to the poisons which brought about the death of the modern soul. Our main influences include The Clash, Primal Scream, early Manics, Tori Amos, Public Enemy, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, KRS-1 and anything brilliant, angry and glamorous from the last however many years of pop music."
The band played the Love Music Hate Racism Manchester carnival last September.
