LMHR UNIVERSITY TOUR KICKS OFF THIS FRIDAY with GREAT HIP-HOP/GARAGE LINE-UP IN LONDON
November 18, 2004, 02:19 AM
We're planning a major LMHR tour of the UK's universities to get more people involved in LMHR and our sister campaign Unite Against Fascism (click the link at the top of the page for their site), AND to raise funds to pay for the FREE festivals in London and Manchester planned for May 2005.
The tour, the majority of which will be taking place in the first few months of next year, will feature both great gigs and club nights with all kinds of music AND on the same day debates along the lines of our successful "Rap, Guns, and Racism" events of earlier this year.
THIS FRIDAY at Goldsmith's College in south London we'll have a gig and debtae featuring the cream of black & "urban" music talent including ASHER D, TY, DJ SWERVE, SKINNYMAN, STICKY, and MATT JAM LAMONT. See the Gigs & Events section for full details.
If you'd like to help put on a LMHR gig/clubnight and debate at YOUR uni or college, let us know - click 'Contact Us' at the top of the page to get in touch.
Plans are already well advanced at the following places:-
London Westminster, London SOAS, London KCL, London South Bank, London QMW, London Greenwich ...
Lancaster, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Bradford, Oxford, Bristol.
